NEVER, NEVER, EVER EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT. My friends and I recently stopped in at this particular Bennigans after a long day of shopping at the outlet mall. Our server was a very nice young man, extremely attentive and polite. We were sitting near the place where they place orders and cash out and overheard his manager, a Ms. Bea Jaimes, totally humilating him in a very loud voice in front of us and many other customers for no reason that we could figure out. This woman was so rude and unprofessional and being that our waiter was quite professional and attenetive and after overheariing what I had heard I asked to speak to her personally. We waited over 30 minutes after we had finished our lunch for this woman to come to our table...while openly watching her walk around the restaruant doing NOTHING. When she did finally come to our table and I confronted her about being so rude to an employee and humilitating him in front of us and several other customers for no obvious reaon and considering this young man had just given us great service she very rudely informed me that she ran the restaurant and that she did not care if we ever came back. I was so honestlly appauled by her response and total unprofessional behavior I requested the name and owner of the frnachise and she refused to give me this information. Upon returning home and getting on the Bennigan's corporate webiste I obtained the corporate information and wrote to their office and never received a response. As I mentioned before, our server was polite, attentive and very professional and to think that this woman was his boss was unbelieveable to me. I dine out often and have often had problems with servers but it has never in all my years of dining out been the other way around. Bennigans has been around for a very long time and to think that these are the types of people they hire as their managers is completely unacceptable to me. There are too many other restaruants to eat at and I personally WILL NEVER EAT AT ANOTHER BENNIGANS ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY BECAUSE OF THIS PARTICULAR INCIDENT. Plus the fact that I was never given the appropriate persons contact information (franchise owner) not responded to by the corporate office, I can only assume that they could care a less about their customers...hence, their manager's attitude. If you were to ask me this woman did not have the mentality or the professionalism to even be bussing tables at this particular restaurant and to think that she was the manager made me want to go and throw up my lunch. I left our server a $20 tip on a $9 tab because I felt so bad for the poor young man. San Marcos is a college town and jobs are hard to come by but the fact that kids (could be your kid or my kid) are subjected to such horrible treatment by people on some kind of power trip and the franchisee nor the Corporate office refuse to acknowledge complaints is horrible. I hope anyone reading thiis review will pass tihs information on because I would like to see this establishment OUT OF BUSINESS!
